In June this year, he will arrive here once again, an historic visit, in his 80th year, to share his global message of peace, kindness and compassion.
He will speak at the Happiness and its Causes conference in Sydney and a Public Talk in The Blue Mountains before heading to Brisbane where His Holiness will conduct his first ever Teaching in that city.
The Teaching at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre will be based on the text Nagarjuna's Precious Garland. His Holiness will review Nagarjuna's Text and describe the cause and effect of sequences for the development of happiness within ordinary life, as well as the practices of wisdom, realising emptiness, and compassion that lead to enlightenment.
The Dalai Lama will show the relationship between our own conduct and how living life ethically with compassion and kindness can directly increase our own personal happiness.
In Brisbane, the Dalai Lama will also offer a Public Talk at the Brisbane Riverstage before travelling on to Perth via Uluru where he will pay respects to the local indigenous community.
In Perth on June 14, the Dalai Lama will offer a single Public Talk at Perth Arena titled, "The Wisdom of Giving and Receiving".
The "2015 Oceans of Wisdom" visit by His Holiness will be his 10th to Australia in a period spanning 30 years.
Australians continue to embrace his ancient teachings shared in a modern world. On his last visit here in 2013, over 200,000 people came to see him in four cities during a packed schedule of events and guest speaker engagements in four cities.
The Dalai Lama is a Nobel Laureate and recipient of both the US Congressional Medal and the Templeton Prize. He has written and authorised 72 books, visited 62 countries and received over 84 awards and honorary doctorates in recognition of his message of peace, non-violence, inter-religious harmony, universal responsibility and compassion.
