Q: I would like to know if you could tell me what I can expect from 2010. I feel a bit lost at the moment. My marriage is not working (I really want it to work out. We have a wonderful little girl). I like my job but I am not passionate about it. I am a very creative person but I am not really using my creativity. I feel that there is something big out there, waiting for me. I just don't know what it is, where to go or where to put my energy.A. I don't normally answer questions like this because they are too broad and could easily consume two hours of talking or its written equivalent. However, I'm going to attempt this one but need to be necessarily brief and brutal, so my apologies in advance.
You were born with Saturn on your Ascendant, your actual birth position, squaring your Sun in Pisces and opposite your Moon in Sagittarius. This very difficult line-up means that from the moment you took your first breath a lot of very heavy, negative and inhibiting energy was flooding your system, in ways that have coloured your outlook on life and basically made you feel less than adequate and ill-equipped to deal with this world. It had you absorb all sorts of beliefs about life being a hard struggle without much help.
Fortunately, you have a Jupiter/Mercury conjunction which counterbalances some of the negativity of the old Saturn, but only partially so. For all your obvious creative talent, this deeper level of subconscious belief has had you accept less from life than you are truly worth, in your work, your relationships and your expectations for yourself. All your best energies have been significantly shackled by this legacy. But now it's starting to change and your current crises is a symptom of this movement.
With Chiron in Aries and the house of career, you were always meant to be a healer, teacher and pioneer in your work, but the degree of which you can grasp this is directly dependent of how deep you go in your own healing processes. This position states that you carry multiple wounds around your ability to create an authentic career for yourself that must be worked on spiritually and therapeutically before you can really get going here. The healing blowtorch needs to be applied to absorbed wounds and fears from your father; digging out your warriors that are buried under anaesthetised anger and rage; on your birth trauma and the early impressions of all that negativity.
There is tremendous support for you embarking on this process, including some very powerful energies for going into these deeper realms, in the form of Pluto square Pluto and transiting Chiron and Neptune about to cross your Mercury and Jupiter on and off for the next two years. Also your progressed Mars is exactly conjunct your progressed Saturn and crossing your Ascendant, which means that you are in the process of birthing both your masculine warrior energy and a newer expression of Saturn energy. Both will eventually become more effective, authentic and creative in your world.
This points out the great contradiction in the energies of Saturn. While his birth position in your chart carries such a heavy karmic and psychological burden, as we get to sort through absorbed conditioned beliefs, we discover that underneath a mean, judgemental and inhibiting façade, lies a voice of ancient power, wisdom and authority.
The changes that are happening in your system are attempting to put you more directly in touch with this in yourself, so that you can access his ability to translate your gifts and individuality into form. One of the greatest aims of Saturn is to put us at the centre of the creative process, so that we can use very focused intention, discipline and deep responsibility to be able to truly co-create our world in partnership with Great Spirit. In your case you are recreating yourself, and this is obviously the source of your feeling that something big is coming.
As for your relationship, all I can say is that your relationship is a major component of this transformation. Its survival is dependent on whether it is still psychologically and spiritually valid for both of you, whether it is capable of deep change and whether both of you are willing and able to commit to that. If the answer to all three is yes, then after a two year period of challenges and deep transformation, your bond will emerge deeper, more connected and you will both be able to be more truly authentic and mutually empowering with each other. If the relationship is incapable of this change, or has become invalidated, then chances are that it will need to end, to eventually make way for something more appropriate to the person you are becoming.
